I just meant this bit:

We don't all see it there (I don't). I'm not saying that you're not interpreting - quite the opposite! Sorry, if that wasn't clear .

Won't be Sherlock because I'm betting John is amazing in bed.
I'm quoting this just because.

Well he's certainly impregnated his wife.
To find out how good he is in bed, we maybe need to interview his string of girlfriends leading up to Mary.
He certainly seems to enjoy the female form, judging how he looks at Irene's chauffeur.
As John himeslef says: you're missing the obvious mate, he's a man.

Liberty, then I didn't make myself clear enough, sorry. Because with this:
Anyway, good thing that I'm generally not a huge fan of the writers or actors of the show telling me what is happening or not happening in the show. It's all there for us to see, so I don't need to hear Benedict talk about Sherlock being gay
...I meant that what is happening or not happening on the show is all there for us to see, whatever it is that each of us is seeing. I see a Sherlock who is into John, you don't. But neither you nor me really need Mofftiss or anyone else to tell us what we're seeing.

Before I start running around in nothing but underwear and singing all four voices of Händel's Hallelujah in one go in THE OTHER thread I might ask carefully if there is a source of Benedict's statement and exact wording. Liberty might have a point that this is quoting around three corners.

Of course. This is the article:
And this is the Nerdist podcast:

Thanks. Cool...

Wow!!! That quote is ...amazing!!! And satisfying.

I definitely wouldn't stop watching the show! But I wouldn't like to see it shoe-horned in - it would have to be done well.
Amen. I hope Moftiss will do whatever they like and come up with new and amazing adventures. If that's Johnlock then I will probably still watch because they would probably do it well. Though I really don't think that's their intention.

Bisexuality exsists.
I identify as Bisexual.
Didn't really realize I was Bisexual until my early 30's
Even though most of my serious relatiosnhips have been wtih men and married a man.
I still can be sexualy and romatically attracted to women.
Have never impregnated anyone to my knowledge.

Thanks very much for the explanation, Solar. That's much clearer to me now! .
We don't need it, but I do find it really interesting to know their thoughts on it. I loved hearing the commentaries, for instance. I see it as them telling us what we're seeing - it's more them telling us what they're showing, if you see what I mean. You can take it or leave it, but I do like to hear it, even when it's at odds with what I'm seeing. Some of the parts of the commentaries I found particularly enlightening where when they said things like "we left this out because ...", or "I wish we'd put this in".

See the trouble with all of this is as follows:
Plenty of us DO see what the writers and actors all say they're showing.
Plus: they have all said the boys have not been written and are being played as interested in each other or in a relationship.
It's like the elephant in the room...There is another word for not seeing the same as the artist says he's portrayed...
I also feel there is another reason people don't listen to the commentaries, or read The Chronicles or listen to/watch/ read interviews/Q&As etc.
One only has to look at the major religions of the world to see the long history of people imposing their world views.

Erm, sorry, bb, but this is in my opinion close to insulting. What does a TV show have to do with religion and/or, as you describe it, fanatism?? Your last post drowns and beats down every attempt if discussion. And how can you quantify how many have the same opinion as you and how many don't?? A bit hybrid IMHO.
Offline
Besleybean, your post is very close to being intolerant towards people with a different opinion. And this is no place for a discussion about religious questions either.
Offline
Intolerant as telling people they can't post on a thread?
Anyway, there is nothing intolerant(whatever that is supposed to mean)about it...people can post what they like, as far as I'm concerned.
Offline
But the plea not to post in certain threads concerns those threads that are dedicated to shameless fangirling, bb, be it johnlock, be it love for Mary. And of course one can have and state nearly every opinion but the how should respect some rules, as in letters or emails.

Besley, you told us you got actually banned on a few boards before. I think we practise a lot of tolerance here towards you only asking you to be polite towards others and post in the appropriate threads.
