Re: Picture thread: Original quotes in a different context

Apart from making tea and breakfasts and showing people up the stairs, there's one more of Mrs Hudson's functions: making central tannoy announcements in 221B for the visitors. However, I can't help but feel she really doesn't like her workplace.
Or how would you interpret her graceful hand posture?

Mrs Hudson: "They don’t matter. You do."

My thoughts exactly.

"To fake the death of one sibling may be regarded as a misfortune; to fake the death of both looks like carelessness." Oscar Wilde about Mycroft Holmes

"It is what it is says love." (Erich Fried)

“Enjoy the journey of life and not just the endgame. I’m also a great believer in treating others as you would like to be treated.” (Benedict Cumberbatch)

Hehe... Mrs Hudson is a gem!

Re: Picture thread: Original quotes in a different context

My husband was a happy man who lived life to the full.  He loved his family and his work -  and that he should take his life in this way is a mystery and a shock to all who knew him.

(Forgive me, I"m not good with graphics)

He heard you, John...

Now for something completely different: A most generous present (5 orange trees, that is!):

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
John: "Have you spoken to Mycroft, Molly, uh, anyone?"
Mrs Hudson: "They don’t matter. You do."

Re: Picture thread: Original quotes in a different context

Thank you, Solar!

Mycroft is getting a bit of unwanted attention:

John: "Have you spoken to Mycroft, Molly, uh, anyone?"
Mrs Hudson: "They don’t matter. You do."

Re: Picture thread: Original quotes in a different context

Great contributions, tobe!

-----------------------------------

I cannot live without brainwork. What else is there to live for? Stand at the window there. Was there ever such a dreary, dismal, unprofitable world? See how the yellow fog swirls down the street and drifts across the dun-coloured houses. What could be more hopelessly prosaic and material? What is the use of having powers, Doctor, when one has no field upon which to exert them?
