Re: Pride and Prejudice

Not a US citizen, but this recalls fond memories. Watched the BBC version when it first aired, I guess I was really a bit to young to understand what this was all about, but I fell in love with Colin Firth

------------------------------------------------------------------

"When you walk with Sherlock Holmes, you see the battlefield" M.H.

"My brother has the brain of scientist or a philosopher, and yet he elects to be a detective...what might we deduce about his heart?" M.H.

"Home is now behind you, the world is ahead."

Re: Pride and Prejudice

One of my all time favourite adaptations.  A book like that one needs a lengthy series to do it justice. No film has ever done the book the way it should be done.

He does love to be dramatic.

Re: Pride and Prejudice

OHHH  I  missed this!!!  I  have  the  DVD   that  a friend gave me as a gift,  but the last part is rather skippy.   If anyione watched this,  did they air commercials?  This was the one I fell in love with.  Colin Firth played Mr. Darcy just as it was in the book.   I  loved it when he dived into his lake and the consequences  of that. I've read the book  several times.   I  love Jane Austen novels.
