At Least I Tried...

Tried to sculpt Sherlock. And failed. Surprising, isn't it? (Not... really...)
And I didn't even finish half of it yet.
Look at my *horrible* picture taking skills...
Ignore my messy desk, though.
(Actually, does the picture even show up? I don't know...)

I'll go take a better pic later.

Anyone know how to do the eyes, ears, nose, mouth and pretty much everything else?
(Can anyone tell It's actually supposed to be human?)

I'm rather new here. Don't mind me.

Re: At Least I Tried...

Why? This is a very good start! Did you take a look at the very first pic of my "Making of"?
This could be a very nice Sherlock, once you're finished!
Try to shorten the nose a bit. Seems to be too long. Then (if it shall be a complete head) he needs a lot of volume at the back of the head. At first I couldn't believe how big  the back of a head is, but it's true!
Very important are cheekbones and cupid's bow, as these are some main points to recognise.

Need something more to encourage? Wait a second.

Fine I took some pics.

My very first try doing a "Sherlock" ended like this:

And wanna see a messy table?  There.

Happens when you're working.

Try to find a lot of good pics in the net (no problem, right?  ) and look at them as much as possible while working (not a problem, either.  )
What material do you use btw?

Re: At Least I Tried...

Actually, ML, your first try isn't that bad but for the hair. A bit comic style, though

And ES: I agree with ML, I think it's worth to keep trying. For sure!
