Sherlock plays in Paris and Brussels

This year has been a good year for French fans so far!
On May 11 we went to see a play in Brussels, called  "Le Mystère Sherlock Holmes" :

It was a really good play, with kind of a "fantastic" atmosphere mixing Sherlock with Tim Burton and circus, shades of Alice in Wonderland, puns and humor too, a really good show with wonderful sets and props. Kudos to author and actor Thierry Janssen!

And we all went in costume!

On April 25 we went to see the first performance of "L'extravagant Mystère Holmes" :

I think this was my favorite of the plays I've seen so far, fast-paced, very funny, with a lot of references for people in the know. Lestrade was the best character and made us laugh from beginning to end. One of my favorite moments was when someone started to play with a white sunshade umbrella, opening and shutting it repeatedly. I thought, that looks like "The Private Life of Sherlock Holmes", and lo and behold, Watson says : "Leave it, that's his private life"! I love this kind of reference!

And finally on April 7 we went to see Arsène Lupin contre Herlock Sholmès, a whimsical, poetic creation mixing shadow plays, song, wordless funny scenes etc, with dialogues adapted from Maurice Leblanc's book.

Each time we were able to meet and talk to the actors after the show. I'm really grateful to all these people for the pleasure they give us!
