Hello!
I'm Kathryn, from a town near Manchester, England. I'm a 22 year old university student taking Psychology. I've always been aware of this show but it wasn't until I saw Martin Freeman in The Hobbit that I decided I wanted to give it a try. So I bought the DVDs of Series 1 and 2 last Thursday and watched them over the weekend, absolutely loved it and decided I wanted to talk to some like-minded people!
I am a fan of Brokeback Mountain and I'm a member of one of the forums, and it's great but most of my friends there are in the US and don't watch the show, so I was feeling kind of lonely. Hope to make a lot of friends here, I'm very friendly and have a wicked sense of humour
Thanks for having me

Well, come on out to the farm--we have 11---yes, that's 11---new kittens, and I'm sure at least half a dozen or so of them would love to see Manchester...
Welcome to the forum, and enjoy your time here.

Welcome, kittykat.
Now I'm wondering about Sherlock and kitties. Must be like Sherlock and cute puppies or babies. Gruesome idea!
Anyway, have a nice time around!

Ha! A bit not good? So much yes... I can actually just see Sherlock conveniently forgetting they even have one, leaving John to take care of the poor thing all the time. 'John? Why is it making that noise? John? I think it wants something. John, why is it sitting on me?? ...John!' But if you're picturing any pet at all, yes, fish or a cat are definitely more suited to their natures/lifestyles. A laid-back slightly aloof one that goes down to hang with the doting Mrs. Hudson, perches quietly next to the skull for ages, watching as cats do, and sometimes ends up on Sherlock's lap when he's in a thinking trance, to his perplexion.
But anyhow, another 'welcome' from the other side of the pond, too!

Welcome, Kitty, nice to have you here. We have a tomcat called Emma (yes, they "sold" him to us at the shelter as a female). The name just stuck.

Welcome!!! It's funny how many people watch one ep, gobble up the rest and come running to this place to gush about the brilliance. I totally did that very recently, so welcome to a bunch of fab, like minded folk .

I don't normally watch things like this; I only decided to try it because of Martin Freeman. Now I love it! I enjoyed watching and working out the clues as they did
