Re: Surely not as interesting as the analysis of 243 types of tobacco ash

Harriet is absolutely right, of course! "tormenting" is wonderful, it's about "blue".

I've realised just recently that I'm avoiding mentioning Sherlock's eye colour in my own fanfics... What a coward I am! To finally make my stand: I think they are blue with yellow dots. *ducks for cover*

I still believe that love conquers all!

I take you to my heart, Schmiezi!

Mrs Hudson: "They don’t matter. You do."

Re: Surely not as interesting as the analysis of 243 types of tobacco ash

Oh, ok! lol.

Most of the time, I see them blue, but it's true that they look green sometimes.

I guess it depends on the light. People are never quite sure of the colour of my eyes either, and I'm not even sure myself. On most pictures, they look green. In real life, they sometimes look brown. I once asked my best friend what colour he thought they were, and he said "Simple, they are green inside and brown outside, with golden glitter paillettes" Err... yeah... ok, thanks. Ah ah.

Re: Surely not as interesting as the analysis of 243 types of tobacco ash

I've posted a new fanfic if anyone is interested.

THE EMERGENCY CIGARETTE

"OK. Cigarette. Never again. Emotional distress makes you do stupid things, it appears. I thought that smoking would somehow make me closer to you. Like drinking tea in your mug. Like taking violin lessons. Like sleeping in your bed. With one of your shirts rolled into a ball under my pillow" John, on the 1st anniversary of Sherlock's death, my take on their reunion. Light Slash.

Re: Surely not as interesting as the analysis of 243 types of tobacco ash

What a wonderful way to start my Sunday morning with (together with a mug of coffee, black, no sugars)!
This is not the kind of reunion we will be presented with in S3E1, but oh so sweet and romantic... Thank you!

"Mesmerizing eyes of an indefinable colour." Ha ha, good solution.

I liked it very much on a Monday after lunch. Very nice one again.

Re: Surely not as interesting as the analysis of 243 types of tobacco ash

And here's another one!

LONELY HEARTS DOT COM

"Hedgehog221?"
"My nickname."
"Yes, I figured that out. But why Hedgehog?"
"I don't know. I wanted something cute. That's the first thing that came to my mind."
" Hedgehogs are not cute, John. They're full of ticks! Anyway, come to think of it, you do look like a hedgehog on that picture you posted."

John subscribed to a dating website and Sherlock doesn't like it. At all. Slash.

Re: Surely not as interesting as the analysis of 243 types of tobacco ash

This is the story that the Series 3 trailer inspired me:

NOT WHERE I BELONG

"Someone takes his coat but he doesn't pay attention. Thoughts are swirling in his mind like dancers to an endless waltz. The doors open. To his rebirth, hopefully." One shot freely inspired by Series 3 trailer. No slash but read into this whatever you like.

I swear I wouldn't like to kill you, tobe

Thank you very much, I'm glad you like it. Those 26 seconds definitely inspired me. And if you feel sad at the end of the fic, you can imagine that when John gets out, he comes across Sherlock crying against a wall and then they have their wonderful reunion as Sherlock understands John didn't propose mary. hehe.

Wonderful. Well written and so many feelings. Where did I put the tissues …

Re: Surely not as interesting as the analysis of 243 types of tobacco ash

I posted a new one last night if anyone's interested:

LEAD ME TO YOUR DOOR.

Plot: Congrats! Your video’s now on YouTube! John struggled with Movie Maker to create a video and post it on his blog as a tribute to Sherlock. It’s been three years today and he doesn’t know that somewhere, someone’s still reading his blog.

Note: This fanfic is inspired by the Beatles song ‘The long and winding road’ and by how I feel one year after my husband died after three weeks of intensive care that followed his 10th suicide attempt of 2012. This can be read as friendship or very very light slash (no kiss or anything)

This is a wonderful story. I like the use of the lyrics and could imagine the video. Beautiful work.
