Thank you so much, both of you. I totally forgot about that.

Brilliant pic, Solar.

Thank you, Marta! Two years ago I never expected to have so much fun here. And to meet so many nice people.

Happy #2 Susi!!      *tosses confetti*
I enjoy your wit and your intellect.
Also, thank you for your work and guidance as a moderator.  This is a great forum but there will always been the occasional bump in the road and you are very good at smoothing those over.

PS.  What kind of cake was that and who can send me some?

Re: Long-service Medals

Well, we joked that Solar would make me a cake for today. As she does not seem to be a great baker, she proposed to send me one of those popular ready-made cakes. This one is lemon. Other flavours available at request.

Just discovered this thread. Two years in this forum? You are TOTALLY crazy, Susi!  And ... I love that!!!
Wonder if I could ever also manage that ...

Re: Long-service Medals

I know, gently, I know! If anyone had told me what would happen … I would have joined anyway. So much fun and interesting discussions and nice people. It is not that difficult to manage, believe me.

Re: Long-service Medals

Oh, seems I'm late to the party.  But after all, I brought you something to drink (looks like Kölsch, I'd say) and two highly concentrated guests.

Happy anniversary, Susi! This forum would have been different without you.
Now on to the next years...

What she said *points at tonnaree*.  And to the list of your moderating skills, I would add, patience. You're a real asset to the forum at large, and perhaps we don't tell you that often enough!

And hey, do you have some of that whatever-it-is cake to share?  Is that like German Twinkies, or what?  *smile*

Re: Long-service Medals

Oh, I am really moved, thank you so much. It is sometimes not easy and there have been moments when I doubted if I should go on doing this but all in all it is too much fun.

It is bsically a simple stirred cake with lemon flavour and icing. Have a piece, dear.
