Tinks, that's so true. I'm sure it would be heartbreaking even if it were just a fictional story, but the fact that it really happened... that's going to send shivers down my spine more than once, I'm sure.

The trailer looks fantastic. I honestly can't wait to see this one, and not just because of Benedict.
However, watching WWII themed things on TV or in the cinema always has a bit of a strange aftertaste for me (as a German). I despise the Nazi regime as much as the next gal, but there's always a tiny, hidden patriot in me that winces when Germany is being denounced. I can't even rationally explain it, because I'm definitely anti-Nazi and don't in the least condone what Hitler did. The war was a terrible thing that should never have happened, and I darn well wish politcal leaders of today would have learned more from it.

Me too! I haven't been this eager to see a Movie in a long time.
I know it will be difficult though because I'll be not just sad, but angry too.
I'm so glad he's playing this role, because I know he'll have done his absolute best to do justice to Alan.

I can't stop watching the trailers. I also can't stop thinking about that one clip in the US version when he's crying...
The acting is absolutely spectacular and I can't even begin to describe the excitement to see his work in full. If 2 and a half minutes can make emotional, god help me when I watch the film.
