Oh, they're really good! Alright, that's a bit sentimental now:
Silent night, danger night
Light in morgue shines so bright
On the mantelpiece was Irene's phone
Sherlock playing the violin alone
At the window of 221 B - hiiii
At the window of 221 B.

Very sentimental indeed - all these three are great

I've got another, but it's about Reichenbach. Want to hear it anyway?

Go ahead, we are getting ready *searching for hankies*

All right then. Don't say I didn't warn you.
Silent night, sniper sight
Sherlock fell from a height
Final problem - he understands
Not so boring, but rather quite grand
"Goodbye, John" he says
"Goodbye, John." he says.

Wow! rather quite grand!
How about making the refrain
"Goodbye, John" he says
"Thank You, John." he says.
for maximum effect?
Need to wipe my eyes, now

And I thought Christmas was a feast of joy.

Sorry!! As for the refrain, I was trying to use words from the 'note'.
Anyone else have a verse? Or another carol?
Good Queen Mycroft Holmes looked out, on the feast of Stephen...

Here's a fun one, based a bit on Study in Pink. Anyone want to continue it?
Dashing through the streets
Of London on a chase
All loneliness forgot
When caught up in the case
Detective and his friend
Are equals in delight
As they pursue the criminals
Of London on this night

And the refrain:
Oh, cabbie's here.
This is queer-
I don't know this place.
What is this, this game of yours?
Why that smile on your face?
Oh, what to do?
Which to pick?
Think I'm gonna die.
I don't like one bit that glimmer
in my cabbie's eye...

I feel like if I go carroling with these lyrics, I might get a few odd looks. Just a guess.

Which melody is this to?

Could be "Jingle Bells".

"Jingle Bells", of course!

Jingle bells. Tantalus's part was the main melody, with my part being a rewrite of the verses that start with "Dashing through the snow..."

Sorry, I cross-posted. But we had the same sense of music.

Oh my gosh, you guys... come on!!!
Hahh... I had another verse for Silent Night waiting, also Fall related (!!), not to mention when I was scribbling other brief song ideas down, I had also thought of Jingle Bells with the line 'dashing through the streets, with a map stuck in his head' (!). Also not to mention how seriously -great- those verses are you guys just posted! ^_^ Funny similarity. I'm sure carolers might also enjoy such "classics" (ha) as "Greg Lestrade Is Coming To Town", and "Sherlock the Dark-Haired Thinker" (aka Rudolph)
(Y'know... the one that starts "You know Watson and Hudson and Mycroft and Lestrade. Adler and Soo Lin and Sarah and Jim. But do you recall, the most famous detective of all? (musical riff) -Sherlock the dark-haired thinker... Had a very brilliant mind....!")
Ahem. I'm just gonna leave the other verse I had waiting here, now. Seriously, verses for that song could go on forever, if people enjoy it. Heh.
Look forward to seeing more of the others, too! Cheers!
Silent night, wicked night,
Moriarty causing a fright.
Who can say what will stop the man?
Better hope that Sherlock can.
Or else he'll faa-alll! Or else he'll fall.

Gloomy, gloomy, gloomy

Silent night, ominous night
Footsteps fall, on staircase flight
Music playing, a violin
Moriarty is creeping in
Pour some tea in a cup...pour some tea in a cup.
