Yuck. ACD - portrait in snot. 
But we know he was interested in these things. There were some faked photos of fairies which he believed to be true. But it's not all just mumbo-jumbo, there are and have been people who seriously and scientifically tried to ascertain if there are such things as supernatural phenomena. I just wrote something about it, quite fascinating. And when I went to London in April I visited a demonstration at the Spiritualist Association of Great Britain. That was really interesting.
