A fun game I thought of where we take every Canon story and rename it as if it were an episode of Sherlock. You can name it anyway, as long as it relates to the story:
Examples
Big Changes:
The Final Problem - The Reichenbach Fall
Medium Changes:
A Study in Scarlet - A Study in Pink
A Scandal in Bohemia - A Scandal in Belgravia
Minor Changes
The Hound of Baskervilles - The Hounds of Baskerville
Rules:
1. It must be in order of the publication of the stories(Sign of Four, Adventures, Memoirs, Return etc.)
2. You can only post three times a day and those post must be three hours apart, one story/episode per post.
3. We continue until we get all 56 stories done(Scarlet, Scandal, Hound, and FP are omitted).

1). The Sign of Four - The Sign of Forty

Fun. I'll have a go at it.
Okay, if I have this right, the 'Adventures of Sherlock Homes' short stories would come next (1892) since they follow
"A Study in Scarlet" and "The Sign of the Four"? So I think that would mean, in order:
"A Scandal in Bohemia"
"The Adventure of the Red-Headed League"
"A Case of Identity"
"The Boscombe Valley Mystery"
"The Five Orange Pips"
"The Man with the Twisted Lip"
"The Adventure of the Blue Carbuncle"
"The Adventure of the Speckled Band"
"The Adventure of the Engineer's Thumb"
"The Adventure of the Noble Bachelor"
"The Adventure of the Beryl Coronet"
"The Adventure of the Copper Beeches"
If we skip "A Scandal in Bohemia", then next I guess is:
"The Ginger Club Escapade"
Offline
Next:
"The Born Identity"
Offline
Next:
"The BallaRAT Valley Mystery"
Offline
We've sort of had the next one in the series so...
"The Five Greenwich Pips"
Offline
The Man with the Twisted Hip
Offline
Next:
"A Blue Diamond Christmas"
Offline
The next one was used in the series too:
"The Adventure of the Speckled Blonde"
Offline
another nod to the series:
"Thumbs!".
Offline
And another:
"Bachelor! What are they implying?"
Offline
A nod to the producers:
"The Adventure of Beryl Vertue"
Offline
The Guard on the Rocky Beach (nod to the series I think)

Okay, so it appears that the next collection chronologically
is 1893's "The Memoirs of Sherlock Holmes"-- if we are to
believe wikipedia on this, we can go with the order below:
(appearing first in The Strand magazine between Dec. 1892 and Nov. 1893)
"Silver Blaze"
"The Adventure of the Cardboard Box" (this story is included as part of His Last Bow in American editions of the canon)
"The Adventure of the Yellow Face"
"The Adventure of the Stockbroker's Clerk"
"The Adventure of the Gloria Scott" (Holmes's first case, described to Watson)
"The Adventure of the Musgrave Ritual" (another early case, told by Holmes to Watson)
"The Adventure of the Reigate Squire"
"The Adventure of the Crooked Man"
"The Adventure of the Resident Patient"
"The Adventure of the Greek Interpreter" (Mycroft appears for the first time)
"The Adventure of the Naval Treaty"
"The Final Problem" (Watson reports the death of Holmes)

this IS a fun game. Some of the current stories DID appear in BBC. I am enjoying reading the wacky titles we've come up with.
Silver Blaze? hmmmm--how about
The Bronze Scar
Offline
"The Adventure of the Cardboard Box" =
The Ears of Sarah Cushing
Offline
"The Adventure of the Yellow Face" =
The Shooting of the Yellow Smiley Face
Offline
'The Adventure of the Stockbroker's Clerk'
'The Adventure of the Insider Dealer'.

Hmm, which one is next?….
"The Adventure of the Gloria Scott"
So, reading the plot summary, seems it could also well be:
"The Adventure of the Other Mr. Hudson"
(or maybe even the real Mr. Hudson? It is described as Shelock's first case, after all.)

I loved reading these various titles! I hope you don't mind me reviving this thread.
Looks like the next one would be "The Adventure of the Musgrave Ritual".
Reading through it, I kept thinking:
"The Riddler"
