Off topic, but I'll ask anyway. What are in those containers on the table? The white thing must be salt or sugar. What is the red thing that looks like an apple or a tomato? And what are in the squirt bottles? In the US, one would be ketchup and the other mustard, but both of these look dark-colored. Maybe it's breakfast, and they contain honey and maple syrup? Anyone?

Brown sauce and vinegar and the red one is tomato ketchup!

They're usually all clogged up anyway, not pleasant. Lots of places have them in sachets instead.

Ketchup in a little tomato-shaped thingie? So like you uncap its little stem and squeeze it out? I've never seen that before. Brown sauce? Do you mean steak sauce, like A1 or Heinz 57? We sometimes find malt vinegar on the tables in some fish restaurants, but this is the land of tartar sauce or cocktail sauce or nothing on fish. And always ketchup on french fries (chips), never vinegar.
In Canada, in eastern Canada anyway, they have something called poutine, where french fries (chips) have brown (meat) gravy ladeled over them, as well as cheese curds. Decadent.

Don't you hate it when the little bottles and salt and pepper shakers on the table are all greasy and no one's washed them in like 100 years? Ugh. We don't see the little packets unless it's predominantly a take-out place.

I wish he'd leave the top button of his shirts undone.
His smile is infectious.

Grr, just deleted half my own post, anyhow...I was sure it was a suit, he's worn it before. But so far can only see it as jacket and trousers!
