Re: Favourite Martin pics

Bad soldier? Nooo.....

I cannot live without brainwork. What else is there to live for? Stand at the window there. Was there ever such a dreary, dismal, unprofitable world? See how the yellow fog swirls down the street and drifts across the dun-coloured houses. What could be more hopelessly prosaic and material? What is the use of having powers, Doctor, when one has no field upon which to exert them?

Re: Favourite Martin pics

Isn't this the first time we have it confirmed in the show that John Watson was shot in the shoulder? We actually see it happen.  In the rest of the series, we just know he got shot (though many people in the fandom have assumed it was the shoulder - based on the original stories, I presume?)

Re: Favourite Martin pics

John says it was his shoulder, at the end of SIP.

Re: Favourite Martin pics

OK, I clearly don't remember that then.  Whoops.  (Well, in my defense, it's been a year since I saw the episode all the way through).

Right at the end, when Sherlock and John are walking away from meeting Mycroft.

He was quite... well, the word that occurs to me is prissy.... in this scene.  Totally wacky.

I know, with two fingers sticking out, and all that blinking and averting his eyes.  ha ha

I think it's awesome that they dared to go there, to make Watson a proper man of his time!

Re: Favourite Martin pics

Yes, I personally was laughing at his classist and sexist statements...shocking!
I also should add, I got so involved in the episode- Watson's tash didn't bother me at all!
