It is very subtle.  Which makes it even more endearing when it does slip out.

Absolutely. It doesn't happen often, but when it does...

Well, if you want to indulge yourselves in some... uhm... scientific research regarding his lisp, just google for "Benedict Cumberbatch lisp".

The thpider thing is a joke, though. He doesn't talk like that normally.

What is it about Benedict being the villain? I mean should we not hate the villain? Why do I deliberately want to run into his arms, even if he might break my hip? Is it just because of how hot he looks when he's doing it?

Let's see, in the order you asked, don't know, no, you're crazy in love with him, and yes.  There, questions asked and answered.  heh

Re: Favourite Sherlock/Benedict pictures

Aw, I run out to do my mission and come back to these pictures and gifs aaaw!

... This thread is messing with me though; I am still writing up my resume of my mission and when asked what the salesperson looked like; all I can think is 'Not Benedict Cumberbatch'

If Mr. Cumberbatch starts laughing like that I'm unable to do anything serious...

He is capable of saying anything mean, and it would still sound bloody sexy.

Along with The Thing, he also has The Voice.

Have you listened to/seen the Jaguar ads he did a couple of years ago? OMFG, sexy car, sexy man, sexy voice telling us about naught to 60 in 4.2 seconds, supercharged V-8 something or other, and naturally aspirated engines, rigid aluminum (pronounced al-yoo-MIN-ee-um), and I wet myself BEFORE thudding onto my mattress. Which now needs cleaning, badly. *flail*

If you want to see-listen, this is a good one to start with. Gorgeous man in a gorgeous car..... and he's talking about his acting as he drives that purring machine.

And here's an example of one of the technical ads he did. What he's saying will put you to sleep, but just listen to The Voice.
