Re: Favourite Sherlock/Benedict pictures

Okay, then I'll say good night with this pic which obviously comes from the behind the scenes-material of Third Star. It's probably not as amazing as lots of other pics we've seen of him, but I like that Benedict seems to be totally unaware of the camera:

How can one human being look so damn wonderful all the time? I mean, how is that even possible?

Charisma. He has it, in spades. He's also a wonderful, skillful actor, and he can make you believe any damned thing about him, emotionally, that he chooses, and you'll never be aware that he's acting. I've heard it said that it can be very hard to be married to an actor for that reason. None of us here know Ben, at least as far as I know, so it's all just conjecture, but none of us would disagree that he has uber-charisma and uber-acting chops. Plus the camera loves him.

I'm working my way up the greasy pole.  It's… very greasy.  And…  pole-shaped.

That's actually a good question, because let's face it: whatever clothes he's wearing, whatever the hair cut or the situation he's in, he always looks absolutely wonderful. (And a few months ago I couldn't care less and didn't even really know his name, how is that possible?!)
So, yes, it must have to do with charisma and with the fact that it's not just the looks. There's much more to him...

Re: Favourite Sherlock/Benedict pictures

It's cosplay. I've seen it confirmed somewhere, I think on tumblr, but that was months ago, I can't find the source anymore.

That's actually the very, very first scene I ever saw of the show, I happened to come across it when it was showing on tv and I was switching channels. And I hate to admit it, but I was not impressed at all, I just thought 'what the hell, who is this arrogant smart-arse, no, not interested'.
