Fine, start a new thread for this, Mattlocked.

I hated it [Third Star] too. But my biggest problem was their rapid speech and thick British regional accents. No subtitles available where I watched it, so I don't think I understood half the dialogue. I will give you that BC was absolutely gorgous in that picture, though-- about 100 times more gorgeous than his co-stars.

Oh I will definitely see it! Having a devil of a time finding it though

I found it [Third Star] on amazon.com instant viewing whatever-it's-called. Cost me just a few bucks to watch. I do regret that there were no subtitles available-- I was left pretty clueless.

Re: Favourite Sherlock/Benedict pictures

I think it's a stunning film, but would be spioled if you didn't get the dialogue.

 Annoying? Why?

It's all in what you're into. I found it to be soap opera-ish. The whole premise was questionable, taking a dying, weak man on a long trek in the cold and wind, up hill and down dale like that. Dragging him part of the way. By the end, I was HOPING he'd die, lololol, and put us all out of our misery. Diff'rent strokes for diff'rent folks, right?

The leg thing seems to be a habit. He does that quite often. And, no, we should not dig deeper. Could be dangerous.

Yes, he was doing that on Top Gear recently. He probably finds rubbing that place soothing. Erm. Or something. Always the right leg with the right hand. Maybe he has eczema, and it itches. *runs away laughing*

SPOILER!  He had begged them to take him there...they thought for a last trip, but he knew he wanted to die there.

Soap. Opera. Which is fine, if you enjoy soap operas. *shrug*
But for those reading this, go ahead and rent or livestream the thing. Ben is totally gorgeous in it. You will drool. Seriously.

Re: Favourite Sherlock/Benedict pictures

We are OT here.
But I'm sorry.  I do not see it as soap opera.
I think it is a beautiful film dealing magnificntly with death and terminal cancer

Right. That's what soap operas do-- they tell stories of life and death, love and loss, etc, all while the characters make sure to continue looking stunningly gorgeous. OK, my last word on the subject, promise. Back to the gorgeous pics, everyone.

Why can't films do the same thing?! They are still a film!

Seriously up way too late again, addictively catching up on so many new posts as you guys run me through the usual gamut of intrigue, perked curiosity, cuteness, and… yes… utterly wistful thudding at many beautiful shots of seemingly wonderful works I still need to watch. Why must the man have such a backlog of great-looking (and sometimes hard to find) things!

And glad you liked the pics! In Martin's thread or character discussion, someone flirtatiously joking about being able to call him 'captain', and then that previous post of Sherlock's glance at rank-pulling just had it stuck in my head, thinking it necessary to follow it up with that. Captain, my captain, indeed………
I'd say maybe we could pause for some 'lighter' 'easier' casual-styled fare, but…. I'm not sure if even seeing him like this helps the obsession any!!

In seriousness....... Ben..... just, please... stop doing that to me... that face....

Oh damn -  ! That top pic...*thudthudthudthudthudthudthudthudthud* Bugger, I think I fell down some stairs again  ...anyways, he's just so gorgeously sexy
