In comparison to 1812, I consider nowaday's men's fashion utterly boring!
Well, Susi, I wonder what will be your next pic...

Re: Favourite Sherlock/Benedict pictures

The fashion's beautiful, much more decorative and elegant than today. My next one - let me see … what about this one. An early good night pic.

I played a bit at screenshots again. I suppose this is something in the way of his natural haircolour.

Yes, his natural color is what the Brits call ginger. I've seen him call it auburn in an early interview or two. It's actually very nice with his ivory skin and pale green eyes. Suits him. I hated what they did to it in War Horse, when it was very dry and brittle looking and overprocessed all red, awful. But whatever film you got this screencap from (Parades End? or that mid-1800s period piece with the British politicians, I forget the name of it?), it looks nice, more natural.

Re: Favourite Sherlock/Benedict pictures

It's from "To The Ends of the Earth" which takes place in 1812. The one with the politicians is "Amazing Grace" (which is brilliant and has some very nice moments regarding pics).

I don't think I've seen TTEotE.  He's done quite a few period pieces, hasn't he-- he has the upper crust British patrician looks to carry them off. I'm so glad he hasn't become typecast, though-- the Star Trek role proved that, for sure, as did Sherlock.

Re: Favourite Sherlock/Benedict pictures

Yes, he can pull off nearly everything. Did you see him in "Starter for Ten", his only comedy? Or "Stuart - A Life Backwards"? He's so versatile.

@SusiGo. I agree, he is so versatile (one of the best actors out there in my "un-biased" opinion ) I've never heard of Starter for Ten, nice to know he's done a comedy  *adds to Benedict-films-to-watch list*

Unless you begged us to.

I"m halfway through TTEoTE.  It's very good.  And always nice to see his range.
He's also naked in it which is always a plus.

Naked.  Very naked.  Starkers.   No full monty but there is much of his glorious bum to be had.

I think if I ever got the full monty from him I would have to be hospitalized.   Did they keep emergancy first aid personal present at all performances of Frankenstein?
