Re: Favourite Sherlock/Benedict pictures

Oh, you've been very active during the night. Thanks, Russell, for the story to the pic. I always wondered if it was real. I think nobody reacted because it was in a British club where everybody kept his stiff upper lip. I suppose I wouldn't have stayed that cool.

Mrs Wenceslas, that's a nice one. And just look at his socks with the heel in the wrong place and the holes in it.

And no one gave him a second look? These people are either insane or far too polite!

Of course they didn't! After the first look everybody fainted!

Just imagine this bar with lots of people lying around in various states of unconsciousness and Benedict sitting coolly there on his stool, sipping a Martini and posing for this pic.

Holes or sticky stuff he had stepped into - I know what I'm talking about

Mmm...   Perhaps that club gets enough well-known people in it, or being used as backdrops, that people are used to it?  Or... um... semi-nudity?  Or... uh... British stiff upper lip discreet politeness?  I have no idea... even if it wasn't a celebrity, I'd have a little trouble not being all curiously 'what in the world' and frequently side-glancing!!   o.o

We solve crimes, I blog about it, and he forgets his pants.  I wouldn't hold out too much hope!

Just this morning you were all tiny and small and made of clay!

I'm working my way up the greasy pole.  It's… very greasy.  And…  pole-shaped.

The backstory of how the photo came to be sends off major phony vibes in me. Just sayin'. They could have taken the photo and then later invented that "cool beans" story to go with it as an afterthought. Not that you can't believe everything you read on the internet.... ahem. Anyway, way to get arrested, taking your clothes off in public. And that's just for starters. Just my opinion. Obviously, there's no way to verify anything.  And also, it doesn't matter how it came to be-- it's a really....interesting.... photo!

Re: Favourite Sherlock/Benedict pictures

Oh, no kidding.  Just half 'wha?....no' and half amusedly wondering.   Plus apparently that photographer is known for risque photos and probably not telling the whole story.  Maybe they mostly cleared it first?  I'm a fan of another photographer who does gorgeous 'artsy models often semi-nude', and whose done a lot of such shots in public.... but it was always 'be totally ready to go, hup hup hup, get in place, get the shot, quickly leave'.  It's the photo itself that's the cool thing.  Right.   Just neat knowing how came to be....  ;)

Re: Favourite Sherlock/Benedict pictures

Oh, Tobe, you make me sad. Of course it's the light. And the curls are wonderful. Imagine them dyed dark brown. But before I fear he'll go platinum blonde.

Re: Favourite Sherlock/Benedict pictures

But he does. They're getting longer. It just takes some time. Besides, we don't know what he'll look at the beginning of series 3. Maybe they'll make use of the platinum blonde style.

Exactly. Plus jeans and bomber jacket and sneakers. Or a head-to-toe leather outfit.

Er, yes. And a different face, of course.
