Thanks, Russell. Now I'm sitting here, thinking 'gosh, he's so sweet, he's so sweet, he's so sweet'... because no, no filthy thoughts here, I think in that pic he's pure sweetness.

Oh no, Sherlock, don't look like that... Come on, get a hug from me.

I'd give him more than a hug... (now that's from another fandom I think... sorry... but still true)

He looks cold out there on the airport runway. Sick physically and sick at heart, undoubtedly.
Ben is such a wonderful actor-- although his hair is in place and his usual nice clothing is on and he's well-shaven as always, his face! Such a lovely portrayal, always has been.

He is a wonder. I haven't been able to watch most of his recent movies, but the work I have seen, I've never sat there and thought about Benedict Cumberbatch, not once, I only "see" whatever character he's portraying.
Remember the past season scene where he was creeping silently up the stairs of 221b and the bad guys had Mrs. Hudson up there and had roughed her up? Wow. The face there! All I could think of was, okay, well someone's got it coming, and they're gonna get it, reeeaaaal bad and very soon.

That was the moment I realised what a dangerous man he was and I had to openly apologise to Sally Donovan- for doubting her.

That scene always makes me think of the famous line from The Princess Bride (adaptated) My name is Sherlock Holmes, you hurt my landlady, prepare to die.

And when we realized that if he loves someone, he simply doesn't care what he has to do to protect them; all bets are off.
Coming back to add that not just protect them, but also to avenge them at times when they've been wronged or injured.

Sherlock may have only a few people he loves, but do not mess with them.

Funny, though, because Sherlock thinks it's OK if *he* messes with them. He certainly messed with John's head when he took the nosedive off St. Bart's. He let John think Sherlock was dead and buried for a long, long time.
