Cheekbones....

I cannot live without brainwork. What else is there to live for? Stand at the window there. Was there ever such a dreary, dismal, unprofitable world? See how the yellow fog swirls down the street and drifts across the dun-coloured houses. What could be more hopelessly prosaic and material? What is the use of having powers, Doctor, when one has no field upon which to exert them?

Americans can't poach eggs or make tea?  Since when?
Maybe he was joking. I hope so.

Ben once again speaks about how he himself isn´t sexy and how he "wasn´t on any lists of the milionth most attractive".

http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/benedict-cumberbatch-sherlock-is-sexier-765927?utm_source=twitter

And yet even before Sherlock, he was deliberately cast as a "gorgeous" investigator in "Marple: Murder is Easy". Benedict´s investigator and a young girl meet in the story and then the next scene between Ben´s character and Mrs. Marple follows:

So why does he suddenly sees himself as a kind of Quasimodo, I don´t know - it´s puzzling.

May I mention that at least his earlobes are not THAT attractive or will I get chased away with planks then?

Re: Favourite Sherlock/Benedict pictures

The role didn't get him a lot of squeeing attention, though! That's totally new since Sherlock. And he doesn't have conventionally handsome looks. So I think he's perfectly honest in finding it all a source of bemusement.

No, not planks. Just pitchforks and torches.

He was still cast as a gorgeous romantic lead in that movie - which would be a weird choice if he was really that unattractive.
