No, I think he's always had it. I'm pretty sure it's a Cumberbatch and not a Sherlock thing.

I think so, too. Apparently he was "a pain in the ass" as a child so it's easy to imagine where it might come from.
(And I will not try to imagine where it also might come from. )

Yes, it's a Ben scar. Once I noticed it, I couldn't un-notice it, and it's definitely there. Rakish, hmm?
