Oh yes, me too! This kitchen scene always makes me tear up a bit, looking at Sherlock being so contemplative and far away somehow...

As if he knew what was coming. Now I am making myself sad.

Yes, there is so much emotion in that photo. There's a fanfic just in that one shot (pun not intended!) - the thoughts going through his head etc.

That scene works so perfectly, Sherlock just sitting there and being all serious, and at the same time Mycroft bickering with their mother... and I suppose somehow Sherlock does know what's coming, maybe not in all detail, but it seems he somehow knows that things might go very wrong...

Is it terrible that I really love angsty Sherlock? I love writing angsty Sherlock. I do love happy Sherlock (although I suspect he is rarely genuinely happy) but yeah, I prefer him all brooding like in this pic!
I loved Mycroft in this scene. Well, I love him in any scene. But that bickering was adorable! Amd the outside smoking!

That's the thing about the whole show I think and the brilliance of their acting.
You can screengrab ANY moment and pull the emotions from it, discuss it at length. It's so provocative and that's only possible thanks to the brilliant writing and direction, and Ben and Martin (and everyone else of course).
That's what makes it better than any other show on Tv IMO.

I can't remember whether I've already posted this. Sorry if I have!

Exactly, Clare!
That is why I am so addicted; I have seen all of the episodes about a hundred times these last months and I keep finding new things. There is always so many emotions in their faces; hidden unless you look closely... It's such clever writing and acting!

No, that's not terrible at all, same here. I love fanfics that deal with Angst and hurt/comfort the best, I love it when there is tension and emotion like that.
Then again, the show gives us such a great mix of emotions and different kinds of mood, it's also great to emerge from the darker moments again and have some fun.

D'aaw he's such a cutie!
And about fan fics; that is my favourite thing to write and read as well! Honestly I seem to love trying to drag him out of his cool... I feel a little bad for him; but it's great to write! and read as well!

Yes, I still love the fun bits, and feel that they are definitely necessary or else it would get a little too depressing! They pitch everything perfectly right!
