Nah, I've been telling myself to go to sleep for the past hour!

I know that problem too well - off you pop!

Ooh, tonight I manage to log onto Twitter at the same time as Mark Gatiss

You really want that, don't you?

Well done!
But argh, time differences confuse the heck out of me!

Well, he still hasn't replied to my tweet. I may never get the answer to my question about Anderson.
I use the clock app if I'm unsure about the time difference, but I honestly wasn't trying to be on Twitter at the same time as anyone, it just happened!

Possibly try tweeting Sue?

Oh the ignorance of some people...
I put up a note downstairs of the student building I live in; someone has for a month now played really loud music with a lot of bass for hours every day, insanely loud... so I put up a note, kindly assuming that the person didn't know that it would blast through the walls, I even hung up a pair of headphones for them, those are gone by now.
There is now a written debate going on on the note... people who play loud music are asking who of them should stop.
WTF. If you are doing it, I obviously mean you. There's a reason I didn't say what flat I thought it came from...
Why can't people just think??

Sorry to hear you kindness was wasted on those people, Phantom!
(Probably they don´t understand this language, try a few swear-words and threats about storming in and throwing everything out of the window next.. might get through to them.)

That sounds really frustrating, and I'm sorry that your attempts at fixing the problem are not working.

Does any one know how long a student would have to wait for an answer from Oxford university?

Have a look here, Lily
I hope this is what you were after

Yes! Great! Thank you
So...that'd mean around late January/early February, then.
I suppose I'll see it when the student gets his answer: either euphoric or crushed.
Is it strange I'm excited?

My fingers are crossed for him!

We had our first major snowfall today! Too soon for all this white stuff... but it sure looks pretty.
And they are calling for some more tonight perhaps.

Mid-late November isn't that early. But I guess in recent years it hasn't always happened.
We had one dusting a couple weeks ago here but nothing since then, though we've had plenty of rain. Last year by this time we had snow and it was colder on campus. I still haven't worn my winter coat more than once or twice.
