I know what you mean. The idea of relationship and domsticity was much more appealing to me than dating with meeting new people and making small talk. lol It turned out to be more fun than I expected though. Not exactly easy, I had my share of rejection and disapoitment, but it was worth it in the end.
Wonders away to google up the giraffe issue...

I'm not sure what's more upsetting. The fact that they put a halthy animal down or butchered it and fed it to lions in front of onlookers including children. :o Some very controversial decisions.

I just don't understand how they couldn't send him off to another zoo; there must have been someplace that could take him in.
I don't know if they actually did it; but they were talking about doing a live autopsy of the giraffe so he at least would contribute to science. But I still don't understand why he had to go...

Sorry. not really up to getting into the Marius debate. Only to say I hope all complainants are vegetarian.
I really crawled here for a bit of sympathy.
I came home ill from work this morning and have been in bed all day...
I just crawled to the settee.

I heard only here about Marius - not complaining, though. Even though I've been a vegetarian for most of my life now,
I find it quite appropriate to feed the body to the lions. Instead of dumping it somewhere. No waste, and educative at the same time.
Well, get better soon, bb!

Get well soon @besley!
I agree; it was the right thing to feed the lions at least.,, if they had made the body go to waste it would be horrible!

Thanks girlies and I agree with you.

Well, the latest episode of Supernatural is rather depressing...
Things can't go on like this between the brothers; something's gotta give...

I'm actually happy about my sore throat. I have the perfect excuse not to talk to idiots... And all of the free soup I got my hands on will come in handy now!
And also; I get to wear my blue scarf indoors...

Get better soon, besleybean and Phantom Lady!
I am ill too, I tried to straighten up the house a little but my head started pounding like crazy and I went dizzy, so now it´s just me, my tea, my blanket and Sherlock again. Not complaining..

^Thanks and get well soon too @Zatoichi! Sherlock heals all I find!
... How hard can it be to find a decent pattern for the Union Jack in cross stitch for the Sherlock inspired pillow I want to make??

Oh, you cross stitch? I envy crafty people, I totally suck at everything crafty and just don´t have the patience. Good luck with your search! Will you show us the result if you find something?

If I knew a page I would let you know, Phantom. All I know about are Sherlock knitting blogs

Of course I will share it, and thanks! The idea is to make a pillow sort of like the one Sherlock has in his chair; but in the middle I want to put a shadowy Sherlock figure...
I am still working on finishing the TARDIS in cross stitch. I haven't worked with cross stitch since I was 14 so it's awesome to get back into it; and for me it fits so well with my geeky obsessions!
And @Harriet, you knit? That is so cool!! I always wanted to get into knitting! somehow I don't have the knack for that

Yes, pls share it when it is done!
I do knit, but socks only, these lovely Sherlock patterns are too complicated for me.
-> So amazing!

OMG! that is amazing work! I really wish I could do something like that!

LOL, me too! And she has already worked on the chullo from S3. Wow!

^That is fast too!!
Btw, this is the Sherlock pattern I was thinking of putting inside the Union Jack: I don't know who made it, but I LOVE it!

Amazing..
How people can do something like that is beyond me, I made two serious attempts at knitting but ended up bashing needles and wool against the wall both times. Soo frustrating..

Wow, that's promising
Zatoichi, never mind, someone also has to admire those artists and wear what they created
