Just wait until they don't even emerge until after midday!

Dear child, when I said yesterday that 4.30 was not acceptable, that didn´t mean "get up at 4.00 instead"...

I feel your pain...my 2 didn't sleep at all, until they went to school...
Are you putting said child to bed too early?

Unfortunately not, or I´d have an idea what to do about it.. I can only hope it passes soon, we had these phases before (but usually they last several months.. )
Yours didn´t sleep until they went to school?? The horror..

Well I was insomniac anyway, so it wasn't quite so bad.
Sorry, I missed the original post.
How old is your child?
Not getting up for the toilet?

My son always used to get up really, really early! Then, when his teenage years hit...late. His earliest was 2 a.m. On Christmas Day. He then woke up his sister! That was a very, very long day!

I confess we were very lucky.
I think the earliest our kids ever got us up on Xmas morn was 6 AM and that only haoppened once...
But then we never made a big deal out of Christams.

She´s nearly 4.. she gets up for the toilet and then can´t fall asleep again. (Got up at 3.20 for the toilet, then was awake next to me until 4.00 when I couldn´t keep her quiet in bed anymore and got up with her, then fell asleep again on the sofa from 5.00 to 6.00 - while I was making breakfast for her twin brother, who, of course, woke up just when she fell asleep. )
Yesterday she was just wide awake at 4.30, didn´t take any naps during the day, had 1.5 hours of Judo training in the afternoon and showed no signs of exhaustion until 7.30 pm.. her level of energy is amazing. Not my genes, that´s for sure.. ^^
Good thing hubby went out with them afterwards so I could catch up some sleep!

Whoa, 2 am!! Our record is around 3.15. On their second birthday. Then they cried for chips.. being totally sleep deprived I gave in and fried chips for breakfast. At 6 a.m. Good times!
(When they will be teenagers I´m so going to run in their rooms at 5.30, switch on all the lights and cry "Reveeenge! Revenge at laaast!"..)

Not much, a small cup of milk.. I already tried to skip that but then going to sleep gets really really exhausting. Usually it´s no problem and she sleeps alright, but since around two weeks she doesn´t and is also quite difficult during the day. My friend who studied education told me that´s normal for kids around their 4th birthday and it will be better soon.. I hope she´s right!

I hope so, too. I confess(I do this a lot!)my kids were allowed no liquids within an hour of bedtime.
So bedtime story reading doesn't send her off?

,,, the pizza place where I ordered a pizza from Wednesday called me at 11pm tonight. I didn't pick up because I didn't recognice the number.
Now I have to forever wonder why the F they are calling me... ehm... the delivery guy was a bit strange I guess.
I hate mysteries like that...

Maybe they were calling you to check you got the pizza ok?
My son was also very sporty. He often got over-tired I guess. Never wanted to switch off and go to sleep. His sister was the opposite. 4 is around the age they start to get bad dreams too. If they woke up I used to go to their bed with them but my son was a bad kicker! It was like being in bed with an angry animal!

That's the other thing I was going to say...any child that came through to us just climbed in beside us and snuggled up...only really a problem when they were little and you woke wirh them sucking on your back!

In our case it´s them laying in our bed going.. "When can we finally get up? Is it time to get up already? Mummy? Mummy? Mummy? I want to get up. But I´m not tired anymore! I just can´t sleep! Please can we get up already? How many minutes until we get up?" And so on. Bwaaaahh..
Today was a bit better, 4.50.. I never thought I´d long to get up at 6.00 a.m. on a Sunday morning!

Oh I see...I know with my husband's middle nepher(who is a highly succesful family man now), from being very young, his parents taught him to put the TV on himself and to get his own breakfast.

I´m not sure it would work.. but if it doesn´t get better next week I might give it a try! Thanks for your ideas..

I had an allergy test done today (finally! I started having Hives in May...)
I don't have all the results yet but the doctor told me I'm allergic towards mold and cats...
I grew up with cats, my nickname is Kitten and when I'm at my mother's place I share pillow with my favourite cat...
The doctor seriously told me that since he was from the country side he reccomended to shoot the cats.
What the actual heck??
