Hello,

Is there space in the fanfiction section for us to recommend other people's work? There are some great stories out there, but I feel we should be able to share the links? Could we have a links page for that? Either for art, or stories that are not on this site?

Please help

I didn't find the right solution from the internet.

Thanks

Hello,

Up until watching The Empty Hearse I assumed there were very good reasons for Sherlock keeping John in the dark about his faked suicide. And then I watched The Empty Hearse... Twenty plus people knew about the plan, not just Sherlock's family, but also his homeless network. And the reason Sherlock gives John is a fear that he might be indiscreet. When was he ever indiscreet?!I understand that John's grief added to the drama (though if you ask me, he recovered from it so quickly I barely see the point) but couldn't the writers come up with something better than that? Couldn't they say that there were suspicions and John  may have been in danger, anything that would warrant him suffering for two years! But 'I thought you might blab' (can't remember exact words, sorry) must have been like a huge slap in the face for John. I suppose at least it explains why he wanted to punch Sherlock multiple times! I just felt it could have been improved on. Am I missing something?

Please help

Thanks

Hello,

Horowitz, in my opinion is one of the only authors to do Sir Author Conan Doyle any true justice, with his Sherlock books. I loved this book, every time I started reading it, I had a hard time putting it down. The story was great and I love the twist at the end. But I want to read the next one and there is no next one. I also thought it was quite interesting, that in the end, Moriarty was still alive. I was hoping that the next twist would have been that Athelney was actually Sherlock, instead of just a regular detective. Everything about Athelney pointed to him being Sherlock, but in disguise. Even though Athelney had studied all of Sherlock’s lessons and books, it could have had a twist and come out that he was Sherlock. He had his own office in the house, with all materials relating to Sherlock, he had the skills, and he even walked with a cane (that had multiple uses), which is something that is also associated with Sherlock. It could have also been explained for, due to falling off the falls. If there was to be another book, I know I am no author or anything, but I think it would be great if, instead of Athelney dying, he actually was Sherlock and Moriarty had never realized it. The two have always been able to trick and use cunning to out do each other. So why not have that happen with them on this one. They both faked their death, but in this next book, it tells it from Sherlock’s (Athelney’s) point of view, and how he set everything up to help him get closer to Moriarty. Another way of writing it, would be to tell it after Moriarty has arrived in America and Sherlock has followed him there. And since enough time has passed, he will not be able to recognize Sherlock. I just want to read the next book, so please write the next one.

Hello,
I've finished the alpha stage of my completed introcomp game 'Sherlock Indomitable'. It adapts two Conan Doyle stories instead of one now. I'm going to do more serious testing in January/February, but I could use someone to run through the current game just to give me their overall impressions (were major clues left out, does it feel like something big is missing, etc.). It's about 2.5-3 hours long, a glulx game.
The two stories are The Speckled Band and The Six Napoleons. It uses the same conversation/clue system as Color the Truth.

Thanks

Hi. I posted this over at the DOSBox forums, but figured that it probably deserved to be here, as well, since the game is officially supported by ScummVM. There are also nothing but old adventure lovers here who might appreciate it.

Hello,

If I close Sherlock and try and reopen I get an error about 80% of the time. The only way to get it to work is to restart my computer once or twice. Quite frustrating. The error is a Sherlock License Error with description "java.lang.RuntimeException: java.lang.NullPointerException".
Any one have the issue or know of a solution?
Thanks
