My sincere apologise.  I seem to live with my foot in my mouth sometimes.  I was taking a joke from HLV but I should not have applied it ti BC himself.

Not you.  Me.  SusiGo has been subjecting my posts to a double standard.  I've asked the administrator privately to delete my account.

What do you suppse might be Benedict's concerns/issues about getting married and/or having children?  Could increased exposure to Martin and Amanda have given him second thoughts?  Actors have to be away so much, perhaps rely on hired help to raise the children, or drag them from pillar to post.  I wouldn't want to be the spouse or child of an actor.  Thoughts?

Did some Googling.  There's support out there for your theory.  http://cdn.boardhost.com/emoticons/embarrassed.png

Really?  Because the butt pinch was funny (at the HOBBIT premiere) but the flip-off made me feel sad for both of them.  And I've seen Benedict do it elsewhere...

Slightly touchy one.  I wonder why Benedict is so free with his middle finger.

I wonder where Benedict got his Brooklyn Bridge t-shirt?

So Sherlock will visit his own grave. Why would he do that?

Why was he doing it at the end of S2?  Still the same motive?

Over here in the US we publicly support PBS...so they have fundraisers (telethons) right on the channel and you can call in a donate.

"Call 1-800-726-3178 or visit us online at www.pioneer.org."  Oh, yeah.  I can say it in my sleep.  I'll be on this year on Dec. 5.  Nerve-wracking as hell.  Not as much fun as it used to be when we had a local map on the wall with pins in towns where donors lived and I could say, "Hey, nobody has donated from Terrace!  Merlin, pick up the phone!"

They usually have really cool gifts that you can get if you donate a certain amount.

I tried to provide something extra special this year for SHERLOCK fans...anyone could have gone after it thanks to on-line donating...but it didn't work out.  #ThanksForNothingHartswood

I think-I might be wrong- but they receive grants and federal funding too.

PBS charges stations a FORTUNE to be a PBS station.  The Corporation for Public Broadcasting, bless their hearts (or its heart, if you prefer), provides grants (at least to the poor rural stations) that cover the lion's share of the dues.  My station's so poor that, I swear, the first year I pitched, they had someone's 10-year-old son running the camera.  So give a little salute, my fellow Americans, when you hear that announcement about CPB before MASTERPIECE begins.

HATE the fan sequence. Feels so self-important and indulgent on the part of the writers.  But it's okay if I'm in the minority on this.

It's only those who DON'T wonder if they wonder about Benedict too much who wonder about Benedict too much.

I have no problem with spanking, though I'd assert few parents do it effectively.  As for B, I get the sense he was spoiled and indulged when small and made someone else's problem (boarding school) when he got older.

Anybody know how much SHERLOCK/Benedict material is included in the new Rebecca Eaton book, "Making Masterpiece"?  Both are mentioned in the promo material.

Now that I've been to England, I'm much more...intrigued...by Ben's insistence on referring to himself as English, not British.

Benny would win, even if he had to go Zen and magically pull his underwear out of his pants.  Thank you, gap year!

So let's play with celibacy for a moment.  Under what circumstances would you want Sherlock to consciously abandon intentional celibacy?

No, I will not go first.

The writers will probably go for celibacy, simply because that's reversible at any time.

I would argue celibacy being reversible at any time.  It can be a very committed choice.  In the case of Sherlock, I'm thinking it would definitely be a committed choice, not one to be carelessly discarded.
