His Last Vow » Mary » January 22, 2014 11:24 pm

The only thing I hope for Mary the character is that they will make something complex and intelligent out of the new situation.

I just don't see how a trained killer miraculously turns into a loving and caring mother who also happens to be a hobby-detective from time to time. That'd be plain awful, I'm afraid. Also I find it hard to believe that Sherlock (or Mycroft) would let her get away with it. I do not have a probelm with Watson being married but with this wife the writers somehow managed to haven written themselves into a corner - there will be no easy way out.

But despite all that I like how Ms Abbington plays Mary. She tricked us all. I truly liked her in the first episode because of her wonderful charme and very willingly ignored "liar" popping up.. that was very well done.

I've had a humour overdosis this season.

“Oh Sherlock.. what have you done?"  - by far my fav quote of this episode. Almost bursted into tears during that scene.

And I just LOVED the conversation between Mycroft and Sherlock in front of their parent's home.
"Your loss would break my heart"
 - "What the hell am i supposed to say to that?"
"Merry Christmas!"

And Molly: I said: focus! NOW!

John: "I still don't understand."
Magnusson "And there's the back of the T-shirt."

When it comes down to memorable lines, this episode was pure gold.

Mycroft is not a good choice for reading bed time stories. Would you ever sleep if you had a brother like that?

I'd sleep like a baby.

The Sign of Three » CAM's wedding message to Mary » January 5, 2014 11:59 pm

Most people have got secrets, it's what makes us vulnerable.

I don't like the way Sherlock looked at Mary in the end. There is something evil coming.

The off-switch was a bit .. lame. Sry.

@ Davina: I have read the reviews and was quite relieved that they are so good. Thanks for posting them.

I enjoyed Sylvia in the second episode, she is awful, even a bitch .. but also witty and funny. Just a great (very well-written) character with depth.

Series Three Suggestions & Ideas » How will John react when he finds out Sherlock isn't dead? » June 7, 2012 7:30 pm

I expect a fight like the short one in Scandal in Belgravia - this time without any humour. Not sure about the rest though. To hug or not to hug .. that is the question.  Even if Sherlock has good reasons to hide, I think he will definitely hurt his friends he tried to save.

A Scandal In Belgravia » Irene's profession » June 7, 2012 5:32 pm

One of the changes in the story was Irene's profession - in the original story, if I remember it correctly, she was an opera singer (with some love adventures, however). What do you think about the change?

I am asking because that's perhaps the only aspect in this excellent episode that I didn't like very much. I think the aspect of Irene as a very successful seducer would have worked well without making her a 'dominatrix' - for me that's overstressing the sexual aspect of her character.

Thank you all for your warm welcome, I appreciate that.

@kazza: What meaning? I don't get it. Too early in the morning.
@ Davina: Thx, yeah the coast is wonderful. ;-) Croatia itself is quite tiny, but beautiful.

I have read all the stories over and over again and am just enthusiastic about the TV series; it was such a pleasant surprise to see Sherlock as a digital native. Still, some personality traits are well recognisable, it's great fun to watch -  I love it! Cumberbatch does a fantastic job.
Am looking forward to the discussions here.

Greetings from Croatia.
