Ah, great! Probably not one of my favourite Elbow songs, but nice enough. And well, Benedict...

I'm not  familiar with this artist. Can you give me recommendation on your favorite song?

I actually do have a theory regarding the last part of your post, on how much they want to use Andrew(well a few theories, actually!)...but as I love him, I don't mind!

The teeth? He DID ask if they had any cannibals at Sherrinford.

Did anybody else get totally distracted by Andrew/Moriarty's perfect teeth every time he said 'tick-tock'?

Maybe Sherlock and Mycroft's parents will become honorary grandparents for Rosie!  It's not hard to guess that Mrs. Hudson already is. =)  That being the case (possibly), maybe they'll help provide for her financially.  What do you think?

A lovely solution

I looked, with interest, at the bleeding portraits on Mycroft's wall, especially the one that looks exactly like him, hoping to see a  gentleman in a dress [Uncle Rudi, the cross-dresser, whom we never got to meet] and who was so instrumental in arranging Euros' care. Also, I missed something someone pointed out- the framed picture of Sherlock and Mycroft on a table in Mycroft's flat.

Uncle Mycroft.

I think it's about friends- between Mrs.' I own an Aston-Martin' Hudson, and Sherlock's family, who own Musgrave Hall, $ shouldn't be a concern for John.

If someone else has mentioned this, please forgive me, but Sherlock's texting "Oh, what a beautiful Morning" made me think of Mycroft's imprisonment at Les Miz with his parents.Isn't Sherlock's text song from the musical "Oklahoma?" These boys and their love of musicals- and I mean Mark and Steven!

All is forgiven- near the end, when the whole Holmes family is sitting, watching Sherlock and Euros play, Mama Holmes reaches over and pats Mycroft's hand.Sweet.

Playing the violin was always a comfort for Sherlock [and we didn't see him play at all the first 2 episodes]. It passed the time, and was a comfort, for Euros, in her long imprisonment. it was so fitting to see both she and Sherlock playing together at the end, for their mutual enjoyment , a kind of healing for both.

Yes, I loved that bit!  What a surprise!  And you realise that some of Mycroft's supposed superiority is posturing.  Although I did think Mycroft was a sweetheart in this episode.

I think Mycroft's reaction, last week, to lady Smallwood's flirtatious overture was a preview, a small crack in the Iceman's impenetrable shell. This week it shattered beyond repair and showed us his fears, and his great heart, in long protecting his parents and especially Sherlock, from the truth about Euros' existence.

ginger, I admit I tended to agree with you, especially  when the episode ended on a sugary 2 men and a baby theme. I wondered if I would ever want to watch it again. When our local PBS channel reran it at midnight, I thought I'd see if it held my attention. It did. My interest and, yes, a genuine appreciation for, the episode increased  and I watched it all, catching more details than the first time through. Has hindsight altered or softened your opinion? I appreciate your honesty!

Mycroft said to Sherlock that from time to time he would mention potential trigger words that could indicate that Sherlock's memory of Euros was returning- like calling Sherlock during an emotionally charged time, and I mean John's wedding, and mentioning Redbeard to him. The list of words that we saw in Mycroft's hand last season must have been potential triggers.

Does anyone know what movie Mycroft was watching at the beginning? It was obviously a favorite of his because he was saying the lines along with the actors? Also, I thought it was horribly ironic that Mycroft could shoot at the clown, which he feared, but declined to shoot the doctor.

Could her name be a fond nod to Euros Lynn, who has directed numerous episodes of Mark and Steven's other smash hit, Dr. Who?

Maybe she just wants Mycroft to know there's no hard feelings for his having had her interrogated in the 6 Thatchers.....and maybe something more....

When John is talking to his therapist at the beginning, and she mentions 'his friend' meaning Sherlock, she says Do I remind you of your friend?
