I am so sorry to hear about your husband, Besley.  Depression really is a terrible thing.  Sending love and my sincere condolences to you and your family.  Take care of yourself.

Series Four News » Although, this season got negative headlines, it was… » July 25, 2017 8:57 pm

I agree about the development in the relationship between Sherlock and John in S4.  It really was beautifully played out.  Personally, I loved the series, and apart form HLV, which I have watched so may times that I can almost recite the whole thing word for word, I thought it was the best yet.  I love the darker, tougher edge to it, which really suits the show.  Unfortunately, investigating crimes, however strange or crazy they may seem, sometimes has serious consequences, and I liked the fact that they showed that this time.

Introductions Please... » missing Sherlock » July 25, 2017 8:35 pm

I completely agree with you, Barker.  It really is an addiction.  Part of the reason that I am here is because I miss it.  I also love reading the opinions and analyses of other fans, especially as my eyesight is quite limited, and other people often spot little details in scenes that I have missed.  That gives me a good excuse to watch an episode again, but who needs excuses!

General Sherlock Discussion » How has Sherlock impacted your life? » April 28, 2017 10:51 pm

I'm also finding it hard to come to terms with the fact that it might be over.  The world of Sherlock, both on TV and reading other fans comments on this forum, despite not finding the time or confidence that I had hoped to take part myself, has helped me through a few very tough years both personally and at work. It is completely engrossing and is a wonderful escape from real life.  I eventually resigned from my job (not such a bad idea in the end), but being a member of this forum makes me feel part of something like a big family or community, which is so nice.

Fan Meet Ups » Anyone going to see The Final Problem in Halifax (UK)? » January 15, 2017 11:34 am

We are now going to Halifax Vue (last minute decision because of the recent bad weather), and will be driving back through Hebden Bridge, so if you still need a lift, you are welcome to come with us.
