It will be interesting, I hope the wait isn't too long. \
The ending in the original story was excellent so I'm surprised they felt the need to totally change it. They could have witnessed Lady Smallwood killing Mag and not report it.

The whole image on every TV was lifted from The Return of the Joker so maybe it's the Joker. lol

I saw that coming, it reminded me of SE7EN without the box. And to bring Moriarty back...are they running out of ideas? Hopefully a real Morirarty will emerge. Again Martin Freeman was terrific and I enjoyed everything up until the ending.

It was too much the first two seasons. They softened him up and made him more socially inclined in the 3rd season. This was necessary.

Just knowing it exists explains all.

I don't so much see this as a sign of obsession as of good taste in literature. Personally I've seen more good literature amongst fanfiction that I have in so called original fiction.

1. When you buy a violin with the intent of playing it poorly.
2. When you wouldn't mind living with strange men in unkempt rooms
3. When you name your child or pet Mycroft
4. When you're nice to the homeless in London because they could be members of the Baker Street Irregulars
5. When you read or write fan fiction and actually enjoy it.

Wouldn't that be cool?
He may have retired to tend to his cabbages though, not sure.
Gatiss & Moffat need to make this happen.

They dress this Sherlock a bit like old school Dr.Who lol but it works.
At first Watson was a bit frumpy which worked with his return from Afghanistan. He then meets Sherlock and suddenly finds an ironing board. Good stuff!

This joke only still makes me laugh because of  Martin Freeman's reactions. The role of Watson requires a lot of reaction shots and he's a master.

Friendship is a little underrated these days. When friends get married its like they died. You just don't see them much anymore.

^COOL. Can't wait to see it. The original story had a great ending and I heard this version is, though changed, great.

Well I have to credit the actor because he fully commited to the role but the babbling, loon-type character is a cliche.

He became a comedic character. Should I be laughing at Moriarty?

Just need some gravitas to go toe to toe with Sherlock but we'll get that with the updated Milverton, I guess.

For me this Moriarty was a massive fail. It just didn't work. Yes I see what they were going for but it didn't work.  It's my only major criticism so far. They did kill him off so I guess they realized it too.

Yeah, RDJ is a great actor. Did you see Two Girls and a Guy?  Masterful performance.

The actor had a tough gig, I think, but I was sure that this manic Moriarty was merely a henchman posing as the real thing. I kept waiting for this truth to come out but it never did. I thought these producers would fix the situation. Maybe they did by killing him off but perhaps we'll find out my first idea was correct. Moriarty has to have some gravitas. Must be a professor.  A tweaked version can still work as with MG as Mycroft who is excellent.  They certainly tweaked Sherlock but have made him much more human and improved him so far in season 3. The original Holmes can be charming when needed and can seamlessly interact with people you need this for the disguises & etc. to work.
