Murder Rooms: Mysteries of the Real Sherlock Holmes.

It's not an adaptation it's more "the origins" of Sherlock Holmes. In the beginning of this show we follow Arthur Conan Doyle as medecin student and he becomes the assistant of the Dr. Joseph Bell (great interpretation of Ian Richardson), an anatomy professor, who in this show have some very good skills of deduction like "Sherlock Holmes". I really enjoyed this show.

Re: Murder Rooms: Mysteries of the Real Sherlock Holmes.

I am going to try and watch this. Ian Richardson is a brilliant actor.

Don't make people into heroes John. Heroes don't exist and if they did I wouldn't be one of them.

Re: Murder Rooms: Mysteries of the Real Sherlock Holmes.

Two episodes are aired tonight on French TV. I'm giving it a try. Unfortunately, I missed a great part of the first episode as my son had decided he wouldn't sleep tonight. Anyway, I'm watching it in English with no subtitles. I'm a bit disturbed that it's about Doyle investigating crimes, and not Sherlock, but well...
