I cannot live without brainwork. What else is there to live for? Stand at the window there. Was there ever such a dreary, dismal, unprofitable world? See how the yellow fog swirls down the street and drifts across the dun-coloured houses. What could be more hopelessly prosaic and material? What is the use of having powers, Doctor, when one has no field upon which to exert them?

Re: Favourite Martin pics

Given up trying to play that as this netbook is a nightmare.
But I was there: well I mean at the play.
Walked past the stage door a million times like some kind of stalker, but honestly just to avoid the smokers!
Saw all the fan girls waiting after, but thought they would be in for a long wait:  Una, Steven and the Vertues were sitting in front of me.
Brilliant play: Martin was marvelous.

Re: Favourite Martin pics

I like that he still does plays, even if he's a huge Hollywood star.

Re: Favourite Martin pics

Most actors would kill to do  good play...
This new one of Martin's is excellent and he is brilliant in it.

He looks pensive.
I wonder if it's just the suit he's thinking about.
