A Tale of 2 .. Moriarty's?

In Doyle's story, there were 2 Moriarty's -the evil Professor and his brother, Colonel Moriarty. Now, at the end of His Last Vow, Sherlock shook John's hand and said  "To the very best of times." That is a loose paraphrasing of the first line  of Charles Dicken's ' A Tale of Two Cities,"[It was the best of times] a story in which one man goes to his death for another- one Moriarty for the other Moriarty?. As John said to Wiggins in the Empty Hearse, "Is it a clue?" [or just the rambling of a devoted fan, myself.]
