Re: Caption Competition Week 99

Holmes:  "Watson, cheer up!   We're in a first class  compartment on the Orient Express,
there's been an excellent murder,  and we've got  that annoying Poirot locked up in the loo.
                 The game's afoot!"

I cannot live without brainwork. What else is there to live for? Stand at the window there. Was there ever such a dreary, dismal, unprofitable world? See how the yellow fog swirls down the street and drifts across the dun-coloured houses. What could be more hopelessly prosaic and material? What is the use of having powers, Doctor, when one has no field upon which to exert them?

Re: Caption Competition Week 99

And now that we mentioned Orient Express...

JOHN: (gasps) Holmes! Holmes! The train that just passed us! I looked into one of the windows and there it was! A woman was being murdered there! Oh, the horror, the horror!
SHERLOCK: Please, ignore this, Watson. It´s just a dirty competition.
JOHN: But...but...murder...
SHERLOCK: It´s just another of Agatha Christie´s provocations. I knew these tickets to 4:50 from Paddington she sent us were somewhat fishy....
JOHN: Oh....

Poor Poirot, but that was funny!

And Agathat Christie! I love this inter-universe detective stuff!

JOHN: Sherlock, what are we doing on this train?
SHERLOCK: It's my train of thought, John. Next stop, the Glasshouse of Subtext, where we will have an awkward conversation about my impulses.
JOHN: Oh, right. Should I bring my gun?

Re: Caption Competition Week 99

So many great ones this week!    Unfortunately only one winner,  so please know that you all came
in a very close second place.

As much as I enjoyed the rides on the Hogwarts and Orient Expresses, locking up Poirot in the loo,
Thomas the Tank Engine and friends.. not to mention the brilliant Train of Thought,
disguises under that moustache and hat...and that these all point to fun in the 'Mile Long Club',..

...
 BUT... this time....
....

I just couldn't resist..........  ...
...

 the envelope please...........
...
...

And the Oscar goes to..............................

Congratulations nakahara!!!!      Looking forward to what you come up with for the 100th entry!
