Re: The special - the game is on (spoilers)

What's the basic plot of "Three Students" Susi?

Re: The special - the game is on (spoilers)

Oh, there's this one:

The Adventure of Black Peter.
I have never known my friend to be in better form, both mental and physical, than in the year '95.

Summary here, and also The Three Students summary here.  I think I'd better do my homework!

Did any of the filming locations look Oxbridgey?

Re: The special - the game is on (spoilers)

According to Leslie Klinger (who wrote/edited the New Annotated Sherlock Holmes), there are five stories set in 1895. 4 are generally agreed on by a majority of Holmes chroniclers:

The Three Students
The Solitary Cyclist
Black Peter
The Bruce-Partington Plans

And one on which there is no consensus:

Wisteria Lodge

The most interesting one to me in this context is the Bruce-Partington Plans, because that was part of the mix in TGG. Hmmmmmmm....

ETA: Wisteria Lodge could have something to do with the photos of that woman in bridal gown we saw from Setlock--and The Solitary Cyclist might have something to do with Amanda being seen in cycling clothes. Curiouser and curiouser.

Re: The special - the game is on (spoilers)

something crossed my mind and I just checked.
In "the adventure of  the red circle", there's girl with whom two men are in love and her name is "Emilia Lucca".
I think the bride name in the special is Emila too, with an italian last name : Ricoletti

Re: The special - the game is on (spoilers)

and Peter Ricoletti is a criminal who was Interpol's most wanted criminal from 1982 until 2010 that Sherlock helped to capture in the Reichenbach Fall....

Could  victorian Emilia Ricoletti be his grand-mother?

Re: The special - the game is on (spoilers)

Can´t they make it a spring special? I really can´t wait to see it....

What is the use of having powers, Doctor, when one has no field upon which to exert them?

Peeking into "The Special" thread... 71 pages, sheesh! I'm up to page 10... So far no real spoilers but no "smut and cupcakes" either, tonnaree!
