Re: Your Top Three Moments of Series Three

I'm going to pick a moment from each episode.

TEH: Sherlock opening and pouring the champagne at the end of the episode, which implies that the gathering is more for the engagement than his return and might have been his idea since he's providing the bubbly. First tangible hint that Sherlock is growing up and learning social conventions.

TSOT: John radiating joy when he learns that Mary is pregnant. A bright moment in a super sad episode.

HLV: Sherlock collapsing at 221B, where we see the gulf between him and John, who didn't even register that Sherlock was in distress (and there were plenty of clues!). The moaning and whimpering was painful to watch as it was so undignified, but was also refreshingly realistic.

Mary

John: That's clever. So you scratch their backs and...
Sherlock: Yes. And then disinfect myself.

Re: Your Top Three Moments of Series Three

Just off the top of my head
1. The "Mind Palace" sequence in which Sherlock has to desperately deduce how to survive after being shot.
2. Sherlock and John's Stag Night
3. His "How he did it" explanation to Anderson (which I bought and was satisfied with)

Re: Your Top Three Moments of Series Three

TEH:   Molly kiss.

TSOT:   Sherlock's face (relief),  and coat (awesome),  leaving the wedding at end.   Brilliant!

HLV:  "But she wasn't supposed to be like that."

Re: Your Top Three Moments of Series Three

Can I have a second go?

TEH: Sherlock's "I heard you" in the hallway, for me the true reconciliation
TSoT: The speech from "The point I'm trying to make" onwards
HLV: The mind palace scene, especially the Moriarty part

Re: Your Top Three Moments of Series Three

The couple of seconds that broke my heart:
1. Sherlock's smile fading away once he told John and Mary they were going to be parents (TSOT)
2. John's face in Leinster Gardens, when Sherlock tells Mary "Not that obvious a trick" (HLV)
3. Mycroft's face when he says "Oh Sherlock, what have you done?" (HLV)

The couple of seconds that warmed my heart:
1. Mycroft's "Also your loss would break my heart" (HLV)
2. John's "No you didn't" and the hug (TSOT)
3. Sherlock's "So I'm your... best... friend?" (TSOT)

The couple of seconds that made me burst out laughing
1. The moment I realise Sherlock and Mycroft weren't playing chess. "Tuuuuuuuuuut!" "Oh, bugger!" (TEH)
2. Mycroft at Christmas "I'm in agony"/"you've got potatoes on it"/"Am I happy too? I haven't checked!"
3. "So just your brother, Molly Hooper, and a hundred tramps." / "Noooooooo! Twenty-five at most." (TEH)

The whole moments that blew me away: HLV mind palace & Sherlock shooting at Magnussen

But really, each single moment of this season is amazing!

Re: Your Top Three Moments of Series Three

It's really hard but these are my three moments:
1. The fake theory number 1. I just love the music
2. Sherlock dropping a glass of champagne and solving the case in The Sign of Three. "The mayfly man..." "...is here tonight."
3. The mind palace sequence in His Last Vow. A masterpiece.

Re: Your Top Three Moments of Series Three

Only three? How??
1) TEH Lestrade hugging Sherlock
2) TSOT John asking Sherlock to be Best Man
3) HLV Sherlock going down on his knees after having shot CAM vs. Sherlock climbing up the spiral staircase in the mind palace. Don't make me choose ;)

OMG, yes! This is the moment my heart stopped, watching him surrender. The look on his face once he's on his knees, trying to come to grips with what he's done and that his life is over.

Re: Your Top Three Moments of Series Three

For me, it's the way he looks at John.
Such selfless love.
