References back: Ep1 Blud - Ep2 Wedding waltz/ etc

BBC!EMPT  Sherlock addresses Mycroft as Blud. Meaning brother -

Wiener Blut ('Viennese Blood) is a wedding waltz by Strauss, of 1873. A version of which was played in Sherlock Holmes: Game of Shadows when Dr. John Watson and Madam Simza find her brother at a peace summit held at Switzerland.

Switzerland, The Reichenbach Falls, was the original site where Holmes 'died'.

And finally a waltz composed by Sherlock was played by him for Dr. John & Mrs Watson's first wedding dance.

interesting, but seriously I don't think they meant to make such a connection...

The connection is that Blut means blood, in both dialects. The reason is that they are both Germanic languages, the words have a common ancestor, they're even pronounced more or less the same.
