Canon Holmes now public domain in the US.

A federal judge in the US have apparently ruled that the ACD canon stories published up to 1923 are now public domain. That is all stories up to and including The Problem of Thor Bridge. As far as I am aware the US is the only country in the world where the Holmes canon stories are still under copyright. But now the majority have been released, since there are only ten Holmes stories by ACD published after this year.

Any thoughts on this people? Do we even care?

I have a link about this somewher but I'm too tired to hunt in down right now.
