ABC Brisbane broadcast

There is an audio file available for a broadcast made by ABC Brisbane on the Afternoon programme. The presenter talks to Katie Woods about the great Holmes and his creator.

Don't make people into heroes John. Heroes don't exist and if they did I wouldn't be one of them.

Here's another link regarding Holmes:

"For more than a century, Sherlock Holmes has been the World's Greatest Detective. But why is a character created in Victorian London still so popular today? To find out, Rod Quinn spoke to Nick Utechin, who has been a member of the Sherlock Holmes Society since he was 14, and edited the Society's journal for thirty years. In this interview Nick explores the way the man in the deerstalker hat has been portrayed on film and TV, and reveals that the first time Holmes appeared outside the pages of an Arthur Conan-Doyle story was on the London stage. Also, please note that sentences can also end in full stops. The exclamation mark can be overused.

Mycroft’s popularity doesn’t surprise me at all. He is, after all, incredibly beautiful, clever and well-dressed. And beautiful. Did I mention that?
