DRAGON CON More of tonnaree's geeky adventures.

What is Dragon Con?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dragon_Con

One of the biggest pop culture conventions in America!  Right here in my home town.

I use to go all the time but I haven't been able to go a decade.  Hubby got me a memebership for my Christmas gift this past year.  I'm so excited.  Registration is tomorrow and I have a plan for all the things I want to do most.  I know it's going to a bit overwhelming.  It wasn't anywhere near as big the last time I attended.

Check out the goings on here:

http://dragoncon.org

Registration is tomorrow and the convention proper starts Friday morning.

I will try to post pictures and interesting shinanigans over the long weekend.

This sounds amazing! And you are going to see JOHN BARROWMAN? LIVE? Now I am really envious. Have lots of fun.

Re: DRAGON CON More of tonnaree's geeky adventures.

It looks wonderful. Wish you a good time.

I cannot live without brainwork. What else is there to live for? Stand at the window there. Was there ever such a dreary, dismal, unprofitable world? See how the yellow fog swirls down the street and drifts across the dun-coloured houses. What could be more hopelessly prosaic and material? What is the use of having powers, Doctor, when one has no field upon which to exert them?

Re: DRAGON CON More of tonnaree's geeky adventures.

John Barrowman is what I thought, too.  Is that what that means? Really cool! And you'll have to tell us what happened at the Sherlock thing. I hope you have a great time, tonnaree! I've never been to a convention before, so I don't have a full idea of what it's like outside of what I've seen on YouTube videos, but I hope it's great!

My thoughts exactly...! John..! John Barrowman...! I'm sure you won't be able to stop laughing. I would so love to see him at a convention one day!
And what will those X-Files panels be about?

Re: DRAGON CON More of tonnaree's geeky adventures.

I am so excited about Barrowman!  Love me some Capt,.Jack.    And he is hysterical with the fans.  He'll do or say just about anything.  He's even been known to drop his pants.  LOL

The X-Files panel I want most to go to will have the actors who played Krychek and Deep Throat on it.

Just got home from registration and giving blood.  Got to take a Power Nap so that I can attend some late night activities tonight.

Ah, interesting! We're in the middle of the second season now and watched the first episodes with Krychek tonight. God, I hate him...!
Have a great time, tonnaree! And make sure to tell us all about Mister Barrowman!

Re: DRAGON CON More of tonnaree's geeky adventures.

If that's an airplane bathroom, I am very surprised at how good it looks.  But I like the photo.

(fun fact, I thought that John Barrowman's accent was a fake American accent he did as Captain Jack, but then I found out that he's Scottish and that's how he always talks, I'm assuming because he lived in the US when he was younger)
