Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell

This series has been on BBC1 for a few weeks now. Set around the time of the Napoleonic Wars and involving magic. Anyone watching? It has Bertie Carvel in it (from Sherlock series 1 The Blind Banker).

Re: Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell

I've been meaning to read the book for years.

I want to watch this but I don't know if it's being broadcast in the US yet.  I'll have to investigate.

Re: Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell

It looks great. I would definitely give it a try after finishing Dr Who.

Re: Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell

It gets darker and darker as it progresses. I wasn't sure at first but I really like it. I assume BBC America will be screening at some time or another.  It also has Enzo Cilenti in it Tonnaree. He played the fighting pits boss that Ser Jorah (yay!) decked in the episode 'The Gift' in the latest season of The Game of Thrones (the one he pledged himself to later...). He's really, really good in this too!
