My only proviso is that Metro isn't the world's most fact based newspaper; millions of them are handed out free every day in London, and it is not unknown for them to over egg the cake in search of something a little more striking.
I'm happy to plod along in the hope that it may be a tad sooner than 2016, though grateful to Mark Gatiss for providing some suit porn. Sherlock seems to have a beneficial effect on people's wardrobes

Well, I'll ignore Mark Gatiss being mean about Benedict!
But honestly I do think that it suits Moftiss to stick to this two year pattern - I think it could be filmed during the next year if they really wanted...I do think two years to wait between each series is a bit excessive, but there you go; it is what it is.
(And now I'm annoyed by another article further down that page! Darn tabloids !)

Oh please...that is just an attention grabbing title-line. If you read the quote perfectly, Gatiss just said that everything is depending on the schedule and that it MIGHT be 2016. Which is more or less what we've always known. They try to do it as soon as possible, but they first have to figure out the logistics.
We'll know more when they actually start shooting.
Yep. Let's wait and see, it's all we can do anyway. And as they say: hope dies last.
Possibly there really is at least a chance of another small Sherlocky christmas special this year...
