Adaptation overviews

This is a small byproduct of the excessive research I did for my reference list.

I thought it would be nice to collect more adaptations which can be considered as notable in one way or another.

I've been really enjoying your blogs over the past few months, Swanpride.  Thanks for posting,

Whoa.  Sherlock was quoting Spock who was quoting Sherlock....Mind blown!!

Re: Adaptation overviews

Isn't "Monk" an adaptation of Sherlock Holmes too? Sharona and later Nathalie Tiger could be Dr. Watson. I think there are many parallels of Monk and Sherlock Holmes e.g. how they solve cases.

Re: Adaptation overviews

Monk (alongside with a number of other TV shows) uses the same concept, but has no direct Sherlock Holmes references in them, so I didn't count them as adaptations. I explained the distinction at the start of the article. House got in because the show does deliberately evoke Sherlock Holmes at some points.
